The power steering pipeline does not need to be
disconnected. The engine is removed with the steering gear attached to the suspension
members, and the vane pump attached to the engine, so the piping does not need
to be disconnected.

For systems that use gas and oil, air bleeding work will not be required if the parts are removed without disconnecting the piping. The AC gas must not be released for safety of personnel and in accordance with environmental legislation.
