Remove Engine from Engine Overhaul Stand

Engine sling device
Engine hanger
1.
Attach the sling device to the engine hanger.
HINT:
There are two types of engine hangers. Install the engine sling device that matches the engine hanger.

After installation of the engine sling device, raise the chain block. Light tension is applied to both chains.
CAUTION:
•
Be careful not to allow the overhaul stand to be lifted up.
•
If the chain block is raised too high, the overhaul stand could be raised off creating a very dangerous situation.
•
If uniform tension is not applied to both chains, the engine will tilt significantly, creating a very dangerous situation.
3.
Remove the engine from the overhaul stand.
