valve contact positions. |

Correct the valve contact width to the specified
value. |

When stopping the cutter, stop it at a different position each time. |

Do not rotate the cutter in reverse while it remains pressed against the seat. |

Check the valve contact position and contact width while cutting the seat. |

In order not to cut a groove or step in the surface, gradually reduce force as cutting nears completion |
