Disassembly

Inspect Clearance

Dial gauge
 
Inspect the following clearances before disassembling the cylinder block:
1. Connecting rod thrust clearance
 
2. Connecting rod oil clearance
 
3. Crankshaft thrust clearance
    Use a dial gauge and flat-head screwdriver to measure the thrust clearance.
 
HINT:
Inspect the crankshaft thrust clearance after removing the piston with connecting rod.
