Press the plunger with a finger.
Check that the plunger returns to its original position smoothly after the finger
is released. |

Since the switch is activated by the plunger, if the plunger does not return to its original position smoothly, the switch contact points may become damaged, and could result in inconsistent starter switch operation. |

Replace the magnet starter switch assembly if the operation
of the plunger is not normal. |
