Inspect Battery Voltage

Inspect battery voltage
(1)
Set the electrical tester to DC voltage measuring function.
(2)
Connect the tester negative side lead to the battery negative terminal and the tester positive side lead to the battery positive terminal.
(3)
Check the battery voltage.
HINT:
The battery voltage is usually shown to be approximately 12.6 V; however, the actual voltage is in the range of 10 - 14 V.
