The Alternator consists of the following components.

The end frames have two functions: to support the rotor and to act as the mounting to the engine. Both end frames have several air passages to improve cooling efficiency.
The stator is a press-fit into (integral with) the drive end frame. The rectifier, brush holder, IC regulator and associated components are installed on the back of the rear end frame. |
