Procedures for installing the snap rings differ according to their shapes and positioning.
1.
Use a snap ring expander to install the following:

Input shaft snap ring
(2)
Output shaft snap ring
HINT:
Performing the procedure with the shaft being pulled upward by hand makes the installation easier.

Use a brass bar and hammer to install the shift fork shaft snap ring.
