Set timing mark potion
(1)
Set the crankshaft of timing at No.1 cylinder ATDC (After Top Dead Centre)/Compression 40-140 degrees.
(2)
Set the camshaft of the intake and exhaust timing sprockets at No.1 cylinder ATDC/Compression 20 degrees.
(3)
Reset the crankshaft of timing at No.1 cylinder ATDC/Compression 20 degrees.
NOTICE:
Be sure to align the timing mark in the above procedure. Otherwise the valve and piston could interfere with each other.
HINT:
The position of the timing mark varies depending on the vehicle model. Refer to the Repair Manual.
