| The timing belt tensioner uses a spring or an automatic tensioner ( which is reset after removal) to apply tension to the timing belt. |

Loosen the bolts

Push the pulley in the direction where the belt is not mounted and temporarily tighten the bolt . |

Tighten the bolt
loosely to hold the tensioner in place. |
