After removing SST, place the stem of a scrap valve onto that of the installed valve and tap the stem of the scrap valve with a plastic hammer to ensure installed components are seated correctly.
NOTICE:
When tapping the stem of the valve,
cover the stem with a cloth so as to prevent the keeper from flying off if the
valve is not installed properly.
