Check continuity between slip rings |
| Using an electrical tester, check that continuity exsits between the slip rings. |

The rotor is a turning electromagnet and has a coil inside. each end of the coil is connected to a slip ring. |
|

Checking the continuity between slip rings is used to detect open circuit inside the coil. |
|
•
|
If a problem is found in the insulation and/or continuity
check, replace the rotor. |
