Evacuation

Close
  (2) Open the valves on the high and low pressure sides of the manifold gauge and turn on the vacuum pump to commence evacuation.
 
  (3) Continue evacuation until the low pressure side of the manifold gauge indicates 750 mmHg or more.
 
  (4) Ensure a vacuum pressure of 750 mmHg or more is maintained for a mininmun of 10 minutes.
 
(5) Close the valves on the high and low-pressure sides of the manifold gauge and then turn off the vacuum pump.
 
NOTICE:
If the vacuum pump is turned off with either of the high or low pressure valves open, air will be drawn back into the A/C system.
