If the power steering fluid line
has been disconnected, bleed air from the fluid line as directed
below.
1.
Fill the power steering fluid.
2.
Lift up the vehicle until the tyres have left the ground.
3.
Perform steering wheel lock-to-lock
operations several times while filling steering fluid with the
engine not running, and repeat this operation cycle until air
bubbles have disappeared from the reservoir.
HINT: If the above operations are performed with
the engine running, the fluid will bubble and the bubbles will flow
into the steering gear, with the result that it will take a great
deal of time for the air to be completely removed.
