Move the piston downward by rotating the crankshaft about 40 degrees counterclockwise from the No.1 cylinder to TDC (Top Dead Centre)/Compression.

Timing mark location varies depending
on the vehicle models, so refer to the Repair Manual.

Place the camshaft on the cylinder head so as to make the
camshaft as level as possible.
(3)
Tighten the camshaft bearing cap mounting bolts uniformly
several times, a little at a time. The tightening order differs depending on the
engine type, so refer to the Repair Manual.
