Cover just the piston ring with the
piston ring compressor. |
| NOTICE: |
| If the piston is rotated
inside the piston ring compressor, the piston ring position could
change and/or the piston could be damaged. |
| HINT: |
| • |
If the piston ring compressor is
applied down to the skirts of the piston, it will be difficult to
set the piston in the cylinder. |
| • |
Coat the inner surface of the piston
ring compressor with oil so as to avoid damaging the piston and
the piston ring. |

Tap with the handle of hammer to
insert the piston from the top of the cylinder with the piston front
mark facing the front of the engine. |

Install the connecting rod bearing cap and torque the bolts. |

Every time a piston is assembled, turn the crankshaft
and then, making sure that it turns smoothly, assemble the piston. |
