Reassembly.

Install Starter Clutch Sub-Assembly
Click on the underlined sentence.
 
Snap ring
Stop collar
 
1. Install starter clutch sub-assembly
 
  (1) Apply some grease to the starter clutch spline.
 
(2) Install the starter clutch on the armature shaft.
 
(3) Install the stop collar on the shaft with the smaller inside diameter pointing downward.
 
(4) Align the snap ring with the groove of the shaft, tighten with a vise, and fix it to the shaft.
 
NOTICE:
Excessive tightening with the vise may damage the snap ring or shaft.
