The steering wheel pad contains SRS airbag.components on vehicles equipped with an SRS airbag.
Always observe the handling precautions detailed in the SRS section of the relevant repair manual. Failure to observe the precautions may result in accidental airbag deployment , which can result in serious injury.
 
1. Remove horn pad
  (1) Certre the steering wheel
in the straight-ahead (neutral) position.
 
(2) Loosen the torx screws and ease the horn pad away.
 
(3) Disconnect the SRS connector and other wiring to remove the horn pad.
