Remove the transaxle mounting bolts, insert
a flat-head screwdriver into the rib part with the engine, and pry with the screwdriver
to disengage the transaxle.
|
| |
| CAUTION: |
| Before disengaging the transaxle,
make sure the two chains of the engine sling device have been tensioned. |
| HINT: |
| The transaxle is difficult to remove
because it is engaged with the engine by knock pin and input shaft. |
| |
| 3. |
Pull on the transaxle while carefully wiggling
it to separate it from the engine. |
| |
| NOTICE: |
| The transaxle is difficult to remove because it is engaged with the engine by the input shaft and dowel pins (knock pins) between the engine block and transmission. Ensure transaxle is properly supported by transmission jack and jack is holding transaxle at correct angle to aid removal. |
