Shift the shift lever into the reverse gear
position and make sure that unusual gear noise does not occur.

After stopping the vehicle, depress the clutch
pedal and shift the shift lever into the reverse gear position. Make sure that
the shift can be conducted smoothly without unusual gear noise occurring.
NOTICE: If unusual gear noise occurs and the gear cannot be shifted, the problem may be clutch drag.
HINT:
When synchromesh is installed on the reverse gear,
unusual gear noise is not produced even if a little clutch drag exists.
