Using vernier calipers, measure the compression
spring's free length.

| If the value is outside the standard,
replace the spring with a new one. |

Mount a new gasket on the exhaust pipe.

| HINT: |
| If the gasket of exhaust pipes that
use a compression spring does not naturally separate from the pipe, it can be
reused. If reusing it, be careful not to damage it. |

3.
|
Align the hole position of the exhaust manifold
with that of the exhaust pipe, and then secure with the compression springs and
bolts.

HINT:

Installation of the exhaust pipe is a job for
two people.
|

|
Generally, nut for the exhaust pipe is not reusable.
Be sure to install the new one.
