The figure left illustrates the changes in the speed of driven shaft B, which forms an angle of 30° in relationship to drive shaft A, when drive shaft A is rotated at a constant speed. When drive shaft A (transmission output shaft) of the Hooke's joint rotates once, driven shaft B (propeller shaft) also rotates once.
